COMMUNITY PROGRAMS & EVENTS

Preschool

Using the Jewish Early Childhood Education study conducted by the Rose Community Foundation and the Jewish Federation of Colorado (2007), many statistics indicate the great need for a Jewish preschool in the South Denver area.

With increasing number of children of preschool age, including Jewish children in the South Metro area, many of our congregants and affiliates have been requesting a preschool to service the South Metro Denver Jewish community.

Preschool is expected to open for the 2010 2011 School year

Chabad Hebrew / Religious School

At Chabad Hebrew School we help create Jewish pride and spiritual connections that last a lifetime. Our non-judgmental, friendly and inclusive policy means every Jewish child is welcome, regardless of affiliation, religious observance, or prior knowledge.

Chabad Hebrew School was founded in 2004 with twenty nine students. Chabad Hebrew School has seen tremendous growth. We are currently operating at capacity with sixty six students.

Holiday Programs & Events

In a continued effort to provide the growing community with innovative Holiday programming, Chabad Jewish Center organizes holiday programs and events, including Hanukah on Ice, Hanukah Menorah Lighting celebrations, Community Passover Seders, High Holiday Fairs and Services, Purim Party, Holiday Festivals and more.

Adult Education / Jewish Learning Institute

The Jewish Learning Institute is the largest institute of adult learning of its kind, teaching in over two hundred and fifty cities around the world. Its professionally conceived courses are taught through interactive dialogue, accompanied by dynamic textbooks and dramatic audio-visual presentations.

Chabad Jewish Center is the only Jewish Learning Institute affiliate in South Metro Denver. These courses have attracted hundreds of students.

Friendship Circle

The Friendship Circle engages children with special needs with volunteers through a full range of social, recreational, Judaic and therapeutic experiences.

The Friendship Circle provides parents and their families much needed respite and support.

Social Services

Chabad Jewish Center offers a full range of Social services through its Rabbi, staff and volunteers. This includes Hospital and nursing home visitations, Prison Chaplaincy, counseling and a charity fund for families in need.

Judaica Gift Shop

By popular demand, we will be operating a Judaica Gift Shop online as well as at the new facility. The Judaica Gift Shop will offer holiday and seasonal items and year round Judaica.

Synagogue

Chabad Jewish Center is currently the only Jewish organization that conducts Synagogue services in Douglas County. This includes Shabbat and Holiday services and Jewish life cycle events.
