CHABAD JEWISH CENTER AT A GLANCE
PAST
In its first four years, CJC established a Hebrew School, Shabbat services, ongoing adult education opportunities, holiday programs for every Jewish holiday, The Living Legacy series for children, and the Jewish Women’s Circle. Rabbi Mintz and community members have established a thriving volunteer program, visiting
community shelters, hospitals, senior centers and prisons.
A true Jewish community has been created through these projects and programs, now serving over 1,600 individuals and families in South Metro Denver.
PRESENT
Chabad Jewish Center has grown tremendously over the past few years in many ways. In fact, it has become a victim of its own success. The present facility (1,800 square-ft. storefront) can no longer accommodate the growing number of Hebrew School students, holiday participants, and those wishing to join the ever-growing roster of activities and services.
The following table illustrates continued growth and interest in CJC up until the present day:

There is currently a waiting list of 17children for Hebrew School.
FUTURE
The overwhelming response to CJC’s creative, all-inclusive programs demonstrate the community’s need and desire for CJC’s permanent presence in South Metro Denver.
CJC expects continued growth based on our current waiting list for Hebrew School, increasing participation year after year, and frequent inquiries about preschool.
In addition, the 2007 Jewish Population Study conducted by Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado, indicates a
130% growth
over the past ten years of the South Metro Denver Jewish population
. This trend is expected to continue.
