Dear Friends:
Since September 2003 the Chabad Jewish Center serving the Jewish community of South Metro Denver, has been a beacon at the crossroads serving the religious, educational, social and pastoral needs of hundreds of Jews. The Jewish Center has provided hundreds of Jewish families with a vibrant, inclusive community in which they are unequivocally accepted and embraced.
Chabad Jewish Center has grown tremendously over the past few years in many ways. In fact, it has become a victim of its own success. The present facility can no longer accommodate the growing number of Hebrew School students, holiday participants, and those wishing to join the ever growing roster of activities and services.
In response, the Jewish Center is under contract to purchase a new facility. This spacious building will allow for hundreds more men, women and children to be inspired and infused with love and pride in their Jewish identity.
Please think carefully and deeply about our project and the long term effects of Chabad's work. The Chabad Jewish Center is not funded by any central organization. Every penny of this capital campaign as well as the operating budget must be raised independently within the community.
Please consider making a substantial gift towards this building through this secure website or feel free to contact me to set up a personal meeting.
Thank you for partnering with us to ensure a stronger Jewish tomorrow.
Sincerely,
Rabbi Avraham Mintz

Update #2
Dear Friends:
Another successful Hebrew School year has ended and we are actively enrolling students for the coming year. Throughout the summer months, we at Chabad Jewish Center will continue adult classes, Shabbat, holiday and family activities as well as events in partnership with the JCC, CAJE and other community organizations.
While all of the ongoing programs and events carry on and expand, our major endeavor is to get our new building in Lone Tree up and running. We are working closely with architect Don Davis of Davis Jones Architects, Inc. on the necessary site improvements required by the City of Lone Tree in order to receive a certificate of occupancy. Much of Don’s work as an architect has been based Lone Tree, thus he has years of experience with the municipal entities that will license our building and certify its readiness for occupancy.
The only uncertainty is the timing of acquiring the necessary and approvals. Factors that affect our timeline are various City board and committee meetings, and the time needed to make required aesthetic and structural improvements.
Don Davis, and a number of engineers, contractors and Lone Tree officials are working to help the new Chabad Center open its doors as quickly as possible. In the meantime, programs will continue to operate at our existing location, and, when necessary, at other community locations when more space is needed.
Plans to increase our capacity for service and to expand Chabad programming are moving forward right along with the work toward a grand opening celebration! We are preparing the opening of a much-needed Jewish preschool, teen and summer programs, and community programs and partnerships.
The effort that lies ahead requires a continuous flow of resources. A number of meaningful naming opportunities are available, which can be viewed on our website, www.DenverJewishCenter.com. Naming opportunities can be crafted if you, a friend or family member would like to donate in a way that holds special meaning. General building fund donations are still needed and can be made online.
I look forward to keeping you updated on the progress towards our grand opening.
Sincerely,
Rabbi Avraham Mintz

Update # 3
Dear Friends,
The opening of the permanent home of Chabad Jewish Center of South Metro Denver is in sight! We recently received our building permit from the City of Lone Tree and Ward Construction is mobilizing to begin demolition and renovation next week.
Our new building, located at 9950 Lone Tree Parkway, SE corner of Lincoln Ave. and Lone Tree Parkway, will include state-of-the-art early childhood classrooms, rooms to accommodate our growing Hebrew school, an outdoor playground, offices, a kitchen, and a multi-purpose room for Shabbat and holiday services, adult and youth group programs, and simchas (special occasions) large and small and home to the Friendship Circle, a program for children with special needs.
We are publicizing the opening of The Garden Preschool - the first Jewish preschool program in South Metro Denver, and we encourage you to pass this news along to your friends and families. Our preschool will be licensed by the State of Colorado and will serve infants through pre-kindergarten. The program will be staffed with certified early childhood educators and will be open to all children, regardless of religious preference.
Our new Jewish Center will soon be a reality thanks to the generous financial support and hard work of so many friends. But even though this dream is close to fruition we continue to need your contributions to put toward necessary capital expenditures. There are numerous naming opportunities and a general building fund.
Please join us this Sunday, March 29 at 3pm for a "Pre-Demolition Celebration!" We will tour the building before the old walls are torn down and new ones are put up so that everyone can take joy in the "before and after" of this great project.
Feel free to contact me if you would like to learn more about the details of the building plan, naming opportunities or needs for the general building fund. I look forward to seeing you this Sunday.
