Must campers wear a camp T-shirt every day?
We require that all campers wear a Camp Gan Israel T-shirt on trips days. Each camper receives one (1) T-shirt before camp begins (with additional tshirts available for purchase). Since all camp staff and campers wear camp shirts, we are instantly recognizable to each other.

How does my camper find a lost item?
Please mark all belongings with your camper's name. Lost & Found items are available each week. Please contact us regarding specific items.

How do I arrange to pick up my camper during the camp day?
If you have to pick up your camper during the day, please notify our office. Once we are aware of your arrival time, we can arrange to have your camper ready for you. Please note that campers will only be released to their guardian unless there is written permission.

What if my child does not want to participate in a particular activity?
No camper will be forced to participate in any activity.

How religious is Camp Gan Israel?
CGI is a totally non-judgmental environment made up of campers from all backgrounds. An individual's level of observance is not stressed. All children enjoy a shared Jewish spirit through songs and projects.

What does my camper need to bring each day?

  •  A labeled water bottle
  •  Bathing suit and towel on swimming & water days (Monday, Wednesday & Friday).
  • If campers will not be taking advantage of our hot lunches then they should bring a sack lunch. (Please send only dairy or pareve lunches, no glass please). Snacks are provided to the campers.
  • Please apply sunscreen at home. Additional sunscreen may be sent each day.

Do you offer a lunch option?
Yes! Lunch will once again be offered this year. Hot lunches are $40 per session.

Please see the 2023 lunch schedule here, (2024 lunch menu will be out shortly) to see the menu.

Do you offer extended care?
Yes! We offer early care from 8am - 9am daily for $30 per session.

We offer after care from 4pm-5:00pm daily for $30 per session.

How can I speak with my child's counselor?

How can I speak with a Camp Director?
The directors are available to answer your questions and discuss your concerns, by calling

How can I become more involved with Camp Gan Israel?
The camp encourages the involvement of "bunk parents" (just like a class parent in school). If you are interested, please inform the Director.
