Dear Friends,
In Jewish tradition, welcoming a new Torah scroll is celebrated with the same joy and unity as a wedding. The Torah is brought in beneath a traditional Chuppah, accompanied by music, dancing, and heartfelt celebration.
Every person plays a part—just as every family member is essential at a wedding.
On Sunday, September 7th beginning at 11:00 AM, we invite you to join us at Chabad Jewish Center 6100 E Belleview Ave in Greenwood Village for a truly historic and uplifting event.
A master scribe (Sofer) pious and skilled, will hand-write the final letters of a Torah scroll, lovingly written in Jerusalem, and brought to completion right here in Colorado.
This sacred moment represents the enduring bond between the Land of Israel and our Colorado Jewish community.
This Torah is dedicated with deep love and admiration to Allen & Gayle Notowitz, who lead by example - by their children, David, Jacob, and Sam—as a heartfelt tribute to their parents’ extraordinary legacy.
This Torah is written in memory of the holy souls taken from us on October 7th, and in merit of the safe return of all the hostages. May their memories and prayers be forever bound within the sacred letters of this scroll, bringing strength, unity, and healing to our people.
We'll celebrate with a festive buffet brunch, joyful music and dancing, and a spirited Torah procession under the Chuppah. Children will enjoy special entertainment and hands-on Torah-themed crafts, making this a meaningful and joyous experience for the entire family.
All donations will be matched, doubling the power of your gift and your role in this historic moment.
This event is free and open to the entire community. Come be a part of history. Help us complete this sacred Torah. And share in a day of meaning, celebration, and unity.
