Dear Rabbi,

I learned new things this year that didn’t stand out from previous years from reading the same scripture readings. For example, not to pass by beggars on the street, give something because G-d is watching us and testing us “to see” if we can be charitable to a stranger. Awesome! I scored 10/10, too. Reply

in response to Deborah :

we are taught that it is better to give, say, a dollar each to 100 poor people, than to give $100 to one poor person. that is because what matters is not how much we give, but that we give, because each act of giving makes us that much better of a person Reply

I scored 9/10. The only one I got wrong was something about where to place idolatrous objects Reply

Shalom Rabbi,

Excellent quiz for the lay people and us non-Jews! I scored 10/10 this year, too. Thank you for helping me in my Torah studies.

Peace,
Deborah Reply

Dear Rabbi,

Excellent quiz; I scored 9/10 (without a review or notes). Question #3 was tricky for me and I got it wrong because I was thinking about the story of the Prophet Elijah. Reply

Thanks for these weekly quizzes. Just wondering whether questions are based on the most significant lessons from each parasha or other lessons? Reply
