I see I missed a huge point. The difference between the covenant that the Children of Israel made with G-d at Mount Sinai and the covenant that was made after crossing the Jordan River. Very very helpful. Thank you! Reply

I scored a very mediocre 7/10. The questions I got wrong were #5, 7, and 10. One of those questions, #5, seems especially strange to me, as I was sure that sacrifices can only be brought up in Jerusalem Reply

Deborah Lawrence, NJ September 13, 2025

Rabbi,

I scored 9/10 because of the same question I missed in 2024. But, I truly understand now why I got the question wrong after looking up the word Haggadah (text) vs Passover (spring festival). Thank you for a great quiz after a study of The Torah.

Peace,
Deborah Reply

Rabbi,
An excellent summary of the Parshah and a corresponding quiz. Reply

Rabbi,

Another excellent quiz this week. I scored 9/10 for a non-Jew, the reason for my score is because I answered question 3 incorrectly. But, now I know the correct answer: Passover Haggadah.

Peace,

Rabbi,
An excellent presentation and an excellent quiz! Reply

Question one and the deemed correct answer is regrettable. כִּֽי most certainly can mean "because". Thus, the first possible answer is also viable. Reb Menachem, you perform a great service with these educational and entertaining quizzes. Consistent with their value I respectfully suggest that you fix the first question! Ezra Reply

8/10 Another wonderful quizzes! Thank you Rabbi! Shabbath Shalom. Reply

Actually question 6 the answer is 11 according to Rashi as Shimon was not cursed Moshe didn’t bless Shimon before his death,so he didn’t want to curse him either Reply

This Quiz is the Best! Reply

Ezra ben-Pesach WOODSTOCK August 30, 2020

I respectfully submit that your answers to the first question are unduly imprecise. The כִּֽי in כִּֽי־תָב֣וֹא does indeed mean because, so that would weigh in favor of the first choice. תָב֣וֹא of course is in the future tense which weighs towards the second. Reply
